Its economy is versatile once you get an Upgrade engine going, as everything will be fairly cheap. My upgrades went Mech down to three, enlistment down to two, upgrade down to two, Mech down to two, then chipped at the building while producing. Another fun path that takes a bit more foresight but fits well with the "problem factions" you described: If you want early mechs to contest another player or get your mech bonuses online, or to go for the factory with nords, use upgrade to bring the cost of mechs down to 2 steel as early as possible. It effectively "banks" other resources because, for example, 4 wood will eventually build all your buldings and net you huge coin and pop. As such, we could have units on a single Tunnel, and in one Move action complete the Objective.
