The way I view Berserk is as a stand-alone Dark Fantasy (obviously) whereas I see GS as a response to the boom in fantasy/game-like LNs and anime. IMO as Berserk fans we should encourage and support other series like GO so the whole dark fantasy genre can grow and maybe gives us a better adaptation of Berserk. But my opinion is moderately uninformed so please tell me if it does get good, and I might give it another shot, i personally enjoy it just because i like seeing how he can get out of the different situations him and his team get stuck in but it definitely isn't some narrative masterpiece nor does it deal with complex topics, so its good if you just want a bit of mindless monster slaying with the occasional bit of fantasy slice of life but it won't do any more than that.
